The Spice Lab is where curious people come to learn the art of spicing from scratch. You'll taste your way through flavour profiles, figure out what actually works together, and walk away with two custom blends you made yourself. No experience needed. Just show up hungry.

Groups of 4 to 20 (or even more) people are welcome.

    A hands-on deep-dive into the world of spices. Learn how flavours work, how to balance heat, depth and aroma — and leave with real skills.

  • Hands-on Blending

    No spectating. You'll taste, experiment and create at your own workstation, guided step-by-step by a spice expert.

    Test your freshly made blends with a taster apéro. Good spices deserve good food — and good company.

FAQ

Do I need any cooking experience?

Not at all. The Spice Lab is designed for curious minds, not (necessarily)trained chefs. We guide you through everything. All you need to bring is an appetite for something new.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop runs for around 3 hours. Enough time to learn, experiment, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

How many people can join?

The Spice Lab welcomes groups of 4 to 20 people. For smaller groups of up to 8, we host the workshop at the Gipfelhirsch HQ in Wallisellen. For larger groups, our workshop space in Dübendorf has room for up to 20 people.

What do I take home?

Two spice blends that you've created yourself. Labelled, jarred, and ready to cook with. Plus a booklet with the most important insights from the workshop and memories to take home with you.

Is there food & drinks?

Of course! Every Spice Lab includes an apéro. Because good spices deserve good company.

Where does the workshop take place?

At the Gipfelhirsch, Zwirnereistrasse 22 in Wallisellen, or at our workshop space in Dübendorf for larger groups. Both locations are within walking distance of Stettbach station and tram line 12

Can I book a private session?

Absolutely. Private Spice Labs are available for corporate teams, birthday groups, and any occasion worth celebrating. (Contact us) to plan yours.

Is the workshop available in English?

Yes, we run sessions in both German and English.

What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 30 days before the workshop. Cancellations made after this period can only be refunded by 50%. No-Shows will be charged fully.
