Fermentierter Kampot Pfeffer

This is a 32ml spice glass with a screw thread, made from food-grade soda-lime glass. Its slim, tall profile makes it ideal for small quantities of fine herbs, spice blends, and seasoning mixes.
Closure

Der Verschluss

The jar is sealed with a silver-coloured aluminium screw cap. The cap is manufactured by Sosa Verschlüsse in Eibenstock, Saxony, Germany. The aluminium construction provides a lightweight, airtight, and leak-proof closure.
Label

Das Etikett

The labels are printed on LPM7 paper — a thin, smooth-feel paper stock. They are printed in-house on demand with dry toner (CMYK). Printing on demand means we produce only what we need, with no label waste from overruns or obsolete stock.

Recycling Informationen

  1. Unscrew the aluminium cap and place it in the metal recycling (Metall/Alu). Aluminium is one of the most efficiently recycled materials and should not go in general waste or glass recycling.
  2. Leave the paper label on the jar. In most Swiss recycling systems, paper labels are removed during the glass recycling process and do not need to be taken off manually.
  3. Rinse out the jar if it contained food or sticky substances to avoid contaminating the glass recycling stream.
  4. Place the clean jar in the designated glass collection container for your municipality. Follow local guidelines regarding clear and coloured glass separation if applicable.

Die Farm & Bauern

In 2017, we purchased additional land in close proximity to Sopha Phal's farm to be able to grow another generation of pepper. We came a lot closer to our goal of paying the workers on the pepper farm an above-average wage. We were able to appoint a long-time harvest helper from Sopha Phal, who previously earned his money as a day laborer, as a foreman. Pu Maneth is reliable and also knows what is important in traditional pepper cultivation. For him and his family, the job as a foreman means security and the opportunity to provide his children with a better education. He moved with his family into newly built accommodation on the new site. For us, it was basically the birth of Uncle’s Pepperfarm.
