About

Intense and perfect for cooking. This is the way we present our coarse sea salt to you. It is absolutely natural and free from any additives. One could say it is the much better alternative to table salt; rather salty. Our sea salt is of course well suited for spice mills and pestles'n'mortars.

Food Matches

Some gourmets believe sea salt tastes better and has a better texture than ordinary table salt. In applications that retain sea salt's coarser texture, it can provide a different mouthfeel, and may change flavor due to its different rate of dissolution. The mineral content also affects the taste. This is a coarse sea salt that can be used as a finishing salt and is prefect in a grinder to grind flaky chunks directly onto your food.

The Farm & Farmer

Zoutman's tale of growth got under way in 1990. Bart and Peter Sobry noticed that a lot of companies were specifically looking for sea salt, attracted especially by its gastronomic character and the ecological benefits it has to offer. The brothers came up with a plan to provide the industry with high quality sea salt, for a broad range of applications. By sticking to a number of valued principles, since then Zoutman's sea salt has gone from strength to strength to become the best quality sea salt on the market.
